Greetings Tea Tarts!

Wow!  It's 2 days until Christmas!   Are you exhausted yet?  LOL  I know I'm getting there but am very excited about celebrating with those I love.   We had our big family party last Sunday with about 28 here and it was a blast!   Everyone brought food so my job was a lot easier.  Nonetheless it was very hectic and it took me a couple of days to recover.   Tomorrow I start cooking my annual gourmet surprise themed dinner for Christmas day and that is always so much fun for me.

Ah, but enough about me.  I wanted to get this update out before year's end so here we go.

As promised in the last update, I have created a page on our website called "Tea Tart Guidelines."  Be sure to review them from time to time to keep them fresh in your mind.  Again, we have a very large chapter so the guidelines are needed to help us help each other.

O.K.  Here goes:  (Sponsors - Be sure to pass this on to those without email).

HOME PAGE- Dont forget to check out the new Giggle of the Week!  Well, I may not get around to changing it every week!

December 10 - Visions of Sugar Plums - What a fabulous party!  Fun & games and decor to delight not to mention all the great Christmas Red Hats & attire.   Wasn't the food just fantastic?  Thanks to Cheryl & Pam for yet another extraordinary holiday get-together.   The photos are now on the website on the Scrapbook page.  Just click the link for that event.

January 5 - Panera & Chat - Another casual get-together we do every first Thursday of the month.  No need to RSVP on this one but, again, do wear your Teapot pin.  We actually had, I think, about 18 in December.  This is a very fun, relaxing evening.

January 13- Freaky Friday - Don't forget.  Please do let me know if you plan to join us for Breakfast and a movie so I can reserve a table at the Country Inn.  Mark your calendar for the second Friday of every month.  No red hat attire required, just your Teapot pin please.

January 21 - L-C-R Afternoon.  It's been awhile since we had an L-C-R Afternoon.  This is it ladies.  A wonderful lunch and an easy game that will serve to entertain!   Come and join us to beat the winter blahs.  Deadline is January 12.

February 18 - Polonia Restaurant & Pisanki Class - Have you ever wondered how they make those beautiful painted Polish eggs?  Now is your chance to try your hand at it.   You can also participate in the Paczki Celebration in Hamtramck.  The class is very limited to 10 so book early!   If you can't make it for crafts, at least book for a "linner" you won't soon forget!   Deadline is January 16.

March 14 - Ford Rouge Tour - Another much requested event.  Here is the opportunity to see part of what has made Detroit the automotive center for many years.    And lunch is on the agenda too!  Deadline is February 22.

Titanic to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking.   Lunch and interesting facts about what happened that day and what happened to the people aboard.   Your chance to dress up if you like either 1912 attire or fancy red hat.

May - TBD - Hands Across the Table Tastefest. - Awaiting the final date for this yummy event!  It's a repeat from 2011.  Everyone enjoyed it so much, we're going to do it again!   Stay tuned....

Planning continues for more exciting, adventurous things coming our way for the ensuing months.  We seem never to run out of ideas.  Keep your ideas coming as well.  We try to do our best to have something for everyone!
